Sunset Network Rules

Welcome to the official Sunset Network rules page. These rules are here to protect the community, keep gameplay fair, and make sure everyone can enjoy the server in a safe and respectful environment.

Important: These rules apply across all Sunset platforms, including in-game chat, gameplay, Discord, forums, website features, tickets, and store-related interactions.

1. General Information

  • Use common sense at all times.
  • Not every possible violation can be listed here.
  • Staff may punish behavior that clearly violates the intent of the rules.
  • Warnings are a courtesy, not a requirement.
  • Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
  • All punishments are issued at staff discretion based on severity, context, history, and impact on the community.
  • Attempting to loophole or bypass the rules may still be punished.

2. Respect and Community Behavior

  • Treat all players and staff with respect.
  • Do not harass, bully, intimidate, or target others.
  • Do not create or continue drama that harms the community.
  • Do not provoke arguments or intentionally upset others.
  • Do not repeatedly insult, mock, or antagonize players or staff.
  • Do not publicly argue staff decisions in chat.
  • Do not spread false or inflammatory claims about players, staff, or the server.
  • Respect staff instructions. If you disagree with a punishment or decision, use the proper appeal or report process.

3. Chat Rules

  • No spam, chat flood, or repeated disruptive messages.
  • No keyboard smash, character dragging, or message clutter intended to flood chat.
  • No encouraging others to spam.
  • No command spam.
  • No excessive caps.
  • No excessive swearing.
  • No unreadable text or disruptive nickname styling.
  • No fake messages, fake announcements, or intentionally misleading players.
  • No lengthy non-English conversations in public channels.
  • All chat rules apply regardless of language.

4. Harassment, Toxicity, and Hate Speech

  • No harassment, bullying, or personal attacks.
  • No targeted insults or repeated hostile behavior.
  • No hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language.
  • No inflammatory statements intended to start conflict.
  • No flame wars or hostile public arguments.
  • No encouraging self-harm, violence, or harm toward others.
  • No sharing graphic or disturbing real-life content.

5. Inappropriate and Sexual Content

  • No sexual harassment.
  • No sexually explicit, pornographic, or graphic content.
  • No grooming, predatory behavior, or inappropriate conduct involving minors.
  • No unwelcome sexual jokes, remarks, or advances.
  • No threats involving explicit content.
  • No explicit or disturbing builds, usernames, skins, or messages.

6. Advertising and Promotion

  • No advertising other Minecraft servers, communities, or competing services.
  • No posting IPs, links, invites, or recruitment messages for outside communities.
  • No posting outside Discord invites unless specifically allowed.
  • No promoting hacked clients, cheats, or exploits.
  • No spammy promotion of shops, warps, auctions, or services.

7. Threats, Privacy, and Malicious Conduct

  • No threats of violence, doxxing, hacking, or real-life harm.
  • No sharing personal or private information without consent.
  • No IP grabbers, malware, phishing, or malicious links.
  • No impersonating staff, players, or server systems.
  • No blackmail, coercion, or intimidation.
  • No retaliation against reporters or victims.

8. Fair Gameplay

  • No cheating, hacking, or unfair modifications.
  • No x-ray, auto-clickers, illegal macros, scripts, or abusive keybinds.
  • No exploit abuse, duplication glitches, crash exploits, or economy abuse.
  • If you discover an exploit, report it immediately.
  • No boosting, illegal teaming, or alt abuse for unfair gain.
  • No ban evasion, mute evasion, or punishment evasion.
  • No alternate accounts used to bypass restrictions.

9. Griefing, Scamming, and Player Harm

  • No griefing, stealing, or scamming where prohibited by the game mode.
  • No intentionally harming another player’s progress through rule-breaking methods.
  • No trapping, abusing land systems, or interfering with others unfairly.
  • No deceptive behavior intended to unfairly take items, money, or access.

10. Builds, Names, and Visual Content

  • No offensive, hateful, explicit, or disturbing builds.
  • No inappropriate usernames, nicknames, skins, or profile content.
  • No visual content that targets or harasses players or staff.
  • No extremist symbols, phrases, or hateful references.

11. Discord Rules

  • All general conduct and chat rules apply in Discord.
  • Voice channels are moderated the same as text channels.
  • No mic spam, screaming, or disruptive noise.
  • No bypassing punishments through DMs, alts, or related outside channels.
  • No misuse of support, report, or ticket channels.
  • No fake reports or abuse of staff contact channels.

12. Forums and Website Rules

  • Post in the correct section.
  • Use the required format for appeals, applications, and reports.
  • Do not spam threads, replies, or tags.
  • Do not create misleading, troll, or low-effort reports or appeals.
  • Keep discussions respectful and constructive.
  • Do not abuse formatting or profile features to disrupt the website experience.

13. Store Rules

  • All purchases are final unless stated otherwise by management.
  • Chargebacks are strictly prohibited.
  • Fraudulent purchases or payment abuse may result in permanent removal from the store and network.
  • If someone buys something for you and later charges it back, your account may also be affected.
  • Attempting to exploit store systems or payment systems is prohibited.

14. External Platforms and Off-Platform Conduct

  • Staff may consider outside behavior if it directly affects the Sunset community.
  • Harassment, threats, targeted bullying, or organized drama involving Sunset players or staff may still result in punishment.
  • Private messages, group chats, social media posts, or outside Discord servers may be used as evidence if they create community harm.

15. Reporting, Appeals, and Staff Concerns

  • If you see a rule breaker, report them through the proper system.
  • Do not publicly argue punishments in chat.
  • If you believe your punishment was unfair, submit an appeal.
  • If you believe a staff member acted inappropriately, submit a staff report with evidence.
  • False reports or dishonest appeals may result in further punishment.

16. Punishment Policy

  • Punishments may include warnings, mutes, kicks, temporary bans, permanent bans, blacklists, or removal of access to certain platforms.
  • Severe offenses may skip warnings entirely.
  • Repeated violations may lead to accelerated punishment paths.
  • Context, intent, history, and impact all affect punishment severity.
  • Staff decisions remain final unless overturned through the proper appeal or management review process.

17. Final Notes

  • These rules are in place to protect the community, not to restrict normal play.
  • If something seems obviously harmful, abusive, dishonest, or unfair, do not do it.
  • Respect the server, the staff team, and the player community.
  • By using Sunset Network, you agree to follow all network-wide and platform-specific rules.

📢 Advertising

  • No advertising other servers or communities.
  • No posting external links or invites without permission.
  • No promotion of cheats or exploits.

⚖️ Punishments

  • Punishments range from warnings → mutes → bans.
  • Severe violations may skip warnings.
  • Repeated offenses result in harsher consequences.

🏠 2. Hub Rules

🌍 General Hub Behavior

  • Keep the hub clean and welcoming.
  • Do not disrupt players in the hub environment.
  • Follow all global chat rules.

🚫 Prohibited Actions

  • No spamming gadgets or cosmetics.
  • No exploiting hub features or glitches.
  • No attempting to crash or lag the hub.
  • No bypassing restrictions using bugs or mechanics.

⚠️ Conduct

  • Do not troll, mislead, or annoy players.
  • Respect all players regardless of rank or status.

🌲 3. Survival Rules

🏗️ General

  • Respect other players and their builds.
  • Do not interfere unfairly with gameplay.

🧱 Griefing & Builds

  • No griefing or damaging builds.
  • Do not bypass claim systems.
  • Do not build too close without permission.

💰 Scamming

  • Scamming is not allowed.
  • Trades must be fair and clear.

⚙️ Exploits

  • No duplication or bug abuse.
  • Report exploits immediately.

🤖 Alt Abuse

  • No using alts for unfair advantages.
  • No bypassing limits or punishments.

🐾 Lag & Farms

  • No lag machines or excessive farms.
  • Optimize builds to avoid server impact.

🏝️ 4. Skyblock Rules

📌 General

  • Respect islands and player progress.
  • Staff are not responsible for island trust issues.

💰 Trading

  • No scamming.
  • Use safe trade methods.

📈 Boosting

  • No alt boosting or stat abuse.
  • No reward exploitation.

⚙️ Exploits

  • No duping or unintended mechanics.
  • Report bugs immediately.

🧱 Island Rules

  • No lag builds or excessive farms.
  • Do not trap or harm visitors unfairly.

⚖️ Economy

  • No manipulation or exploitation of systems.

  • Do not build on others’ plots without permission.
  • Do not claim plots for trolling or blocking.

  • Do not abuse Creative inventory or systems.

  • Play fairly and respect other players.
  • No unfair advantages or exploits.

🚫 Cheats & Mods

  • No hacked clients, auto-clickers, or illegal mods.
  • No scripts or macros that provide unfair advantages.

⚙️ Exploits

  • No abusing bugs or unintended mechanics.
  • No glitching out of arenas or safe zones.

🛑 Combat Rules

  • No combat logging.
  • No abusing safe zones to gain advantage.

🤖 Alt Abuse

  • No farming kills or stats using alternate accounts.

🎯 Fair Play

  • Do not boost stats or rankings unfairly.
  • Do not exploit matchmaking or systems.

🌟 Final Notes

  • These rules exist to protect the community and ensure fair play.
  • If something feels unfair, abusive, or harmful — don’t do it.
  • When in doubt, ask a staff member.
